BY SEA
Ferries: The trip by ferry takes much longer than by plane because the distance is long and the ferries are normal. Ferries to Kos leave from the port of Piraeus, to the south of Athens, and from Alexandroupoli, northern Greece. Kos can be reached in about 7 - 10 hours, depending on the ferry and the itinerary (daily connections).
There are numerous daily connections with all the Dodecanesian islands. Approximate duration of travel: 1 - 2 hours.
